After the completion of the order, we will automatically create the next one for the same time in one/two or four weeks, depending on your chosen regularity. The same contractor will be assigned to the cleaning (if you rated the cleaning with 5 stars)
After the cleaning is completed, you will receive an SMS with the date and time of the next cleaning (and a link to edit the cleaning parameters). We will also send a cleaning reminder 2 days before the scheduled date
We do not have prepayment, cleaning is paid after completion by card or cash. If you cancel the next cleaning (you can do this up to 16 hours before the start), there are no penalties. The subscription can be renewed at any time
CleanWhale operates as an intermediary platform (marketplace) that connects you with independent Contractors providing cleaning and other services.
CleanWhale issues you a VAT invoice only for the Order Handling Fee — our remuneration for intermediary services: selecting and verifying the Contractor, coordination, and handling documents and payments.
The service is provided and documented directly by the Contractor, who issues you a separate document for its full value: a VAT invoice if the Contractor is an active VAT payer (VAT deductible on your side), or an invoice without VAT or a bill if the Contractor is exempt (a tax-deductible cost, without VAT deduction).
You therefore receive two documents per order, and both are tax-deductible costs. Your final price and payment method stay the same.
How we calculate VAT
CleanWhale charges VAT only on its own remuneration, not on the value of the service — the seller of the service is the Contractor, not CleanWhale. Our invoice: the Order Handling Fee plus 23% VAT, fully deductible on your side. The Contractor's invoice: VAT depends solely on their status. There is no double taxation — VAT appears at most once on each side.

In short-stay rental, cleaning is not an occasional job — it is a step that repeats after every booking, inside a window of a few hours, to a standard that has to look identical every time. A guest does not review the average of your flat over a year. They review the state it was in when they opened the door.
The standard turnover happens between 11:00 and 15:00 — check-out to check-in. Where your window is tighter, say so when booking and the schedule is built around it rather than around our route. In peak season we plan several flats in a day so that all of them are ready before arrival time, not just the first.
A completion notice, and where something is wrong, a photo report: damage, missing equipment, a guest who left the flat in a state worth documenting. That material is what you attach when you raise it with the booking platform — which is much easier than describing it from memory two days later.
Above roughly two changes a week, washing inside the flat stops working: the machine occupies exactly the window the cleaning needs, and ironing is the slowest part of all. The practical minimum is two sets per bed, three if you turn over every other day. Pickup and delivery is a separate service — bed linen and towel laundry.
The same things break on rotation: a handle, the toilet flush, a lock, a blown bulb, a loose shelf. Rather than finding somebody at short notice, a handyman can be attached to the same visit.
Most short-stay flats sit in the Old Town and Kazimierz — old tenements, often without a lift, in the restricted traffic zone. That affects access and parking rather than the cleaning itself, but it has to be planned, not discovered on the day. Season runs May to September with holidays and long weekends on top; outside it is the right moment for a deep clean.
A key safe or a code lock is the arrangement that actually scales, particularly if you do not live in Krakow. It removes the handover from the critical path entirely — nobody waits for anybody.
Yes when there is a slot. With ongoing cooperation we reserve fixed windows instead.
Yes, including when check-outs fall on the same day.
Cleaning products and equipment are ours. Linen, towels and guest supplies stay yours — we wash, restock and rotate them.
That is a separate, larger job. We document the state first so you have grounds for a claim, then quote it.
Per turnover, with an invoice. Volume and a fixed schedule are agreed for ongoing work.
