CleanWhale operates as an intermediary platform (marketplace) that connects you with independent Contractors providing cleaning and other services.
CleanWhale issues you a VAT invoice only for the Order Handling Fee — our remuneration for intermediary services: selecting and verifying the Contractor, coordination, and handling documents and payments.
The service is provided and documented directly by the Contractor, who issues you a separate document for its full value: a VAT invoice if the Contractor is an active VAT payer (VAT deductible on your side), or an invoice without VAT or a bill if the Contractor is exempt (a tax-deductible cost, without VAT deduction).
You therefore receive two documents per order, and both are tax-deductible costs. Your final price and payment method stay the same.
How we calculate VAT
CleanWhale charges VAT only on its own remuneration, not on the value of the service — the seller of the service is the Contractor, not CleanWhale. Our invoice: the Order Handling Fee plus 23% VAT, fully deductible on your side. The Contractor's invoice: VAT depends solely on their status. There is no double taxation — VAT appears at most once on each side.

A stain on a sofa, carpet or mattress rarely disappears when you wipe it with a cloth — more often it spreads wider and works its way deeper into the fibres. CleanWhale carries out stain removal in Krakow using hot water extraction, which flushes the soiling out of the full thickness of the fabric rather than just the surface.
If you need the whole piece cleaned rather than a single stain, see upholstery and carpet cleaning.
Results depend on the fabric and on how long the stain has been there. Fresh spills come out almost every time; stains that have dried in or been rubbed repeatedly can be permanent — we say so before we start rather than afterwards.
The fabric stays slightly damp afterwards. Full drying usually takes anywhere from a few hours to a dozen or so, depending on the material and the ventilation.
We use hypoallergenic products that are thoroughly rinsed out of the material after cleaning, which makes the service safe for children, allergy sufferers and pets.
Not always. Fresh soiling comes out in most cases, but stains that have dried in, bleach marks, or the results of unsuccessful DIY attempts may remain visible. We are upfront about the likely outcome before starting.
The sooner the better. Blot the excess liquid with a dry cloth and avoid rubbing — rubbing pushes the soiling deeper into the fibres and spreads it wider.
Usually a few hours to a dozen or so. Airing the room and lower humidity speed it up.
Yes. Alongside the stain itself we use odour-neutralising preparations. For more difficult cases, ozone treatment works well as a follow-up.
No. We work on site — all we need is access to the item and a power socket.
